I was very proud to be a part of the Sketchmap Project, a collective comic book drawn by artists who are related to the state of Baden-Württemberg in southwest of Germany. In cooperation with Literaturhaus Stuttgart und Literaturhaus Freiburg.
The idea was to actually draw comics, which has actually always been (and still is) my dream. But I had absolutely no experience with comics, so I decided to just make a story with illustrations, without text. But then, when the illustrations were ready, they just didn't feel complete.
These illustrations are very special for me. I challenged myself to take part in the project, though I had no idea how I would make it with my then-1-year-old son. But I did it and I'm very grateful for this opportunity.
