When Lou becomes seriously ill and has to go to the hospital, nothing is ever the same again. The days on the ward are grueling and exhausting until a glowing yellow line appears on the floor, leading to a mysterious door. Behind it: a corridor with countless other doors, portals to magical places. Together with an IV stand that has come to life and a mood-regulating octopus, Lou embarks on a journey where the three explore fantastic worlds full of wonders and mysterious creatures – and discover a way to connect with their own feelings.
For this whimsical adventure, I was happy to create illustrations of magical world behind hospital doors, which Lou and their friends discover, following the yellow line in the hospital. Grief, happiness, adventure, helping friends - all spectrum of feelings, the radioplay softly helps young listeners to charge their courage battery and make days in the hospital a bit more bearable.
